MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for the young people of our parish--our candidates--to grow in their relationship with Christ and His Church.  We will journey together as we, both team members and participants, are challenged to develop a sense of purpose, responsibility, and commitment to the Catholic Faith in preparation for the candidates' reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Who are you and who teaches the lessons?

We are a an entity of the Religious Education Program that provides faith formation specifically for teens in High School. Our content is built on the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

Our catechists and peer leaders volunteer their time and talents out of their love of God and our Catholic Faith. Our sessions aim to be informative, engaging, and Christ-centered. Moreover, they are taught in collaboration with our parents, priests, deacons, youth ministers, and parish community.

How long is the Confirmation Program? For whom is the program intended?

Confirmation with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles is a 2-year program intended for teens who are in 9th-11th grades

What if I am in 12th grade or older?

What is the best mode of communication?

Parents will primarily be contacted by email through monthly newsletters distributed via Flocknote, a third-party mailer website sponsored by the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. We will also be using Flocknote to send text reminders of sessions and quizzes. Parents will be automatically enrolled into our email list based on the information given on the registration forms. Candidates may also enroll to receive newsletters and text updates with the permission of their parents/guardians. Parents will be contacted via phone call for any urgent matters.
